Participate

Partricipate founded at the end of 2021 by Mathias Wilbers. An ex-triathlete and passionate (hard)runner, but above all a coach.

The focus at PARTRICIPATE is on three (tri) pillars: coaching, training and lifestyle.

Partricipate initially started with coaching and training triathletes, but has since developed into other endurance sports such as running, cycling and duathlon.

My vision on sports

No pyramidal or polarised model. Rather a model based on 'intensity control'. Training/coaching always starts from the need for certain adaptations. Focus for endurance athletes is on aerobic conditioning and at the same time in elements of 'blocking/clustering' not only week after week or in a certain cycle, but also in a single training day.

We are always looking for certain patterns and ways to optimize the training and adjust the workouts accordingly. Sometimes I try to think a bit more 'out-of-the-box'. Especially for the short to medium distances I focus more on the highest possible anaerobic threshold through a model of multiple lactate measurements and of course threshold training. In addition, high intensity training also has its benefits and is also focused on during your training process. Depending on your profile as an athlete and your goals, certain focuses are made, taking into account your periodization.
